One of the happiest days of a couples life, is also one of the fastest. It can pass by so quickly it may be difficult to remember the details of each moment. Tall Productions’ endeavor is to create a personalized wedding highlight that enables couples to relive their special day. What a privilege it is to witness the beginning of a couple’s life. With our unique style and creativity, it is a wedding film that even your friends will want to watch again.
Tall Productions is owned and operated by Dylan Reid. Dylan’s love for cinematography began at an early age as he viewed the work of his father, an award winning professional cinematographer. He has been a cinematographer for over fours years and has filmed over sixty weddings of different styles and cultures. Dylan values each couple he encounters, and takes great pleasure in producing incredible imagery for them.”It is more than filming a wedding, but an art. Viewing their love, as well as gaining insight into their interests, helps me to capture their lives on film.”

What equipment do you use? Tall Productions values the highest quality possible for your wedding day. We film with the Canon 5D mkII and Canon 5D mkIII which are excellent cameras in low light situations and create a beautiful image. Carl Zeiss lenses are also utilized to capture a superior image under low light situations, and many different L-Series lenses by Canon. To capture important speeches and ambient noises in the room, we use an arrangement of different devices to attain audio from a direct connection from the DJ, as well as a wireless microphone on the groom.
Do you film destination weddings? We accept destination weddings and encourage the idea. We simply ask for the client to provide airfare, hotel rooms, transportation, and a destination fee by Tall Productions. The destination fee is calculated based on the reimbursement for gas, per-diem, and luggage fees by the airline.
Do you recommend a second cinematographer? Two cinematographers ensure that we can be everywhere, all the time. Having two camera operators is a critical element for a successful wedding film. Weddings are an un-staged event; therefore, there is no second take. With two cinematographers we are able to document what is happening with both the bride and groom before the ceremony, the bride walking down the aisle, and the expression on the groom’s face as she walks toward him. From dancing to toasts, we are able to capture the genuine reactions of you and your guests during theses heartfelt moments.
Do we have to feed the cinematographers? We work better if we are fed and require it from our clients. I recommend having a meal provided for us at the same time the bride and groom are eating. I also recommend having us seated in the same room as the bride and groom so that there is no possibility of missing an unexpected toast or dance.
What are some of the extras Tall Productions offer? Tall Productions wants your film to come out exactly the way you pictured it. We can incorporate an engagement session, an interview of the bride and groom after the wedding, a “Love Story” film to be shown at your reception, a “Save the Date” film to be sent out to your wedding guests, and any other desired film ideas you may have. Our rate for these extras start at $250/hr. This does not include cost of editing. The cost of editing varies for each film. E-mail for more information and a quote.
What is the “The Real Story” film? A great idea Tall Productions has come up with is to let your wedding party document your day. This package includes the rental of 6 MinoHD Flip video cameras. These Flip cameras can be shared amongst your wedding guests and wedding party. It’s a great way to have your friends interview each other, interview you, get behind the scenes footage, and see their vantage point during the ceremony or reception. After the wedding, the cameras are collected and the footage is edited together into a film you can enjoy! Some of this footage may even be incorporated into your Highlight. E-mail Tall Productions for prices and information.
